FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
General
We are open from 07.30am – 18.00pm, we are closed on bank holidays and also 3 days a year for staff training – these days are communicated to the parents at the beginning of each year.
Depending on the age of your child, we can often arrange a pre-visit and then a normal attendance pattern almost immediately depending on staffing levels and room occupancy.
We offer two pre-visits before a child starts. The first one is an hour long and is where you meet your child’s key person. This is an opportunity to go through your child’s routine, dietary requirements, medical conditions, family culture and traditions as well as filling out paperwork and permission slips. The Second one is 2 hours long and is where you leave your child to have a little play and get to know us.
You can drop off and collect your child when you like, however, we do encourage all children to be at nursery by 09.00am, as this is when we begin our main activities.

The nurseries can cater for almost any dietary requirements, please ask when you visit the nursery.
Yes, children do need to attend the same booking pattern every week. This is because of staffing and ratio requirements. Please speak to the nursery manager to discuss your requirements.
The legal requirement for staff ratios are:
0-2 years (Freshers) – 1 carer to 3 children
2-3 years (Sophomores) – 1 carer to 4 children
3-5 years (Scholars) – 1 carer to 8 children
It depends on the site, the rooms and the children's ages.
The terms and conditions on the contract for placement is 60 days. This accommodates changes to staffing levels and allows spaces to be offered to other parents.
Yes, if your child is absent at nursery due to sickness or holiday these days are still chargeable.
Yes. We can offer one off extra days as long as we have space for your child on that day. Extra days are charged and are added onto your following month’s invoice.
At the end of the day we will feed back to you to let you know how your child has been and what they have been doing at nursery. Parents also have constant live updates throughout the day on our ‘Famly’ app. Parents can message staff and contribute to their child’s learning this way too. Parents and families can also follow us on Facebook to see the range of experiences and activities our children participate in.
